This project aims to upgrade and retrofit the existing VRU to meet the customer’s requirements, with an objective to build a higher-capacity VRU with improved emission standards while utilising the existing foundation of the original VRU. DKI along with Cool Sorption, designed and manufactured a VRU and control system using the Depot Series DS-710 model, a standardised system for small to medium-sized terminals, commonly used in truck loading areas.
Project Deliverables:
🔹The skid-mounted system's electrical design met IECEx and ATEX explosion-proof certification.
🔹The pneumatic control valve air supply was upgraded from Polyethylene (PE) to stainless steel piping for improved corrosion resistance, tailored to marine climate conditions.
🔹All valves were modified from European standard to ASME-standard.
🔹Two independent metering pipelines were added to the original design, integrated with DKI's latest FlexLinc BC system, featuring a VRU return oil interface.
🔹The new VRU control interface was integrated with DKI’s Terminal Automation System (TAS) for seamless data sharing and management.
